We had our first group run on Saturday with the Fall 2008 training group. This was the first time that I got to meet everyone since I was not able to be at KickOff because of my Master's Graduation Commencement. I met one of my fabulous new training partners, Jen and lots of other people from other mentees groups. We started off with some introductions, a Mission Moment, and some dynamic stretching - courtesy of our fabulous Coach Jenn.
Then we prepared for our "timed mile" to place us into our training categories. It wasn't a race - just an opportunity for us to define our training pace.
It was an absolutely beautiful morning - and although it was earlier than most are used to, it was so fun to be up and running on the beautiful spring day. Plus, we were done running and doing fundraising meetings before 9:30 am, which gave us the rest of the morning to enjoy!
And eat bagels! The perfect after run snack!
